Padding

The process of applying glue to the edge of stack of paper. Often glued in stacks of 25, 50 or 100 with a piece of chip board glued to the underside of the pad.

Carbonless Glueing

A special type of glue that is applied to the edge of carbonless paper. Allowing certain specially coating papers to stick togther while leaving other stocks unglued.

Wrap Around Covers

A cover that is scored and folded around a pad of paper and glued into position.  These are most commonly seen in estimate books, invoice books, and other types of books using carbonless paper as the form of printed media.

Packet Stapling

The process of taking a group of papers and applying a single staple in one position holding all of the sheets together.

Saddle Stitching

The process of folding multiple sheets of paper in half, collating them together, and then applying two staples into the fold of the packet of papers in turn holding them together.

Spiral Binding

 The process of applying round hole punches to the spine of a booklet and inserting a plastic coil to hold the pages together. 

GBC Comb Binding

The process of applying rectangular hole punches to the spine of a booklet and inserting a plastic GBC comb to hold the pages together.

3-1 Wire Coil Binding

The process of applying square hole punches to the spine of a booklet and inserting a wire binding to hold the pages together. 

 

Perfect Binding

The process of applying a scored cover with glue to the spine of a group of papers to create a finished book.
